This is basically my daily driver. I started it this morning drove to work and started and drove to the post office after work. When I came out of the post office and started my truck there was a loud click, but it started. I got home (thirty seconds later) turned it off and tried to start it and nothing. No clicking or anything. Turn the key and nothing. I tested the battery with a volt tester and it showed 12.6. Please help.

My guess is the click you heard may have been arcing.

This is what I have to offer, others may jump in with more info for you.

See my link and the pics at the end of it.

Wiggled the ground on the battery terminal, it was pretty loose. Tightened it and she started without a problem! Thanks for the advice. Checked some connections but completely overlooked that.

Got you!

Sometimes you need a little push to get you motivated.

I have seen that situation so many times, even after they said they have already checked everything (sorta trying to deter me checking behind them).

Glad to see you are not 'afoot' anymore!

Just for giggles, what part of my link sort of grabbed' you?

It was actually your post from April 9, 2016 about checking everything. It made me retrace my steps and look for what I may have missed. And wouldn't you know, I could have been back on the road in less than a day if I had just taken my time. Thanks again!

Just a side note she was only down for less than 24 hours. Would have been less but had to work. Again, very helpful.
