While driving every light goes off the mileage sets to 000000 and every gauge dances hard except the battery voltage gauge then it goes back to normal. Mostly happens when I get down on it to get on the highway. It doesn’t lose power or skip just the dash. Last night I replaced the starter and this morning it started acting up. Not sure if I did something wrong when replacing the starter. I appreciate it.

Check your wiring, make sure you have a good ground from the battery to the engine and a good ground to the chassis.

This happens when the instrument clusters go out, you will need a rebuilt unit here is a video of the job being done on a similar vehicle.

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
