I have a hard top Convertible. When you open the driver side door the window is suppose to drop a few inches automatically and when it is closed the window raises again sealing it. Well when I open the door, window drops a few inches but then it raises immediately. So when you close the door the top of the window hits the edge of the roof. Where is the sensor or switch located some where that controls this? What is it called. I have looked all over the web for info and can't find any on the subject.

If you had this scanned at an auto parts no codes will show because you need a pro to scan it. But it still can be a can bus problem. But sensors are in motor. Looks like in drawing anyhow.

Well to have it scanned at the dealer or mechanic shop It will cost me money. They will diagnose it. The diagram you provided is to small for me to read. When it comes to repairs I'm old school. It would be nice to be able to have it scanned and issue solved with a touch of a button. Its not going to be the case here, just old fashion troubleshooting.I don't believe its the module. The problem has to be simple. The issue I have is not constant. If it was the module the issue would be constant and even get worse. This is intermittent to the open and closing of the driver door. This last week I opened the door several times and window functioned as it should. Once or twice the window did not. So it improved over all compared to the prior weeks. I know that there is a switch or sensor in the door handles. Pulling the handles cause the window to drop the quarter inch. But there has to be a sensor or switch when you close the door. Question is where is that one located? That would be the one that is more than likely faulty because when you shut the door that is when the window moves back up the 1/4 inch.
