I think I have isolated the problem to the wire at the door hinge. The window will go down but will not go back up unless I move the wire bundle up and down at the door hinge, then the window will rise. My question is, how do I find which wire controls the "up" movement so as to cut and resplice?

Hi:
Remove the door panel and unplug the wiring to the power window motor. There should be two wires in the motor's plug. When you hit the swith up, power will go to one wire. When you hit the switch down, the power will go to the other wire.
