How do I reset the check engine light on my 2000 Volvo S70?
I know what is wrong, but don't want to fix it now. I just want the light gone for a while.

Either use a diagnostic scan tool to delete the codes (most part stores will do this for free) or disconnect battery for 10 minutes and then reconnect. Disconnecting battery will reset entire computer though so I suggest just taking to a part store to have them delete the codes with a hand-held scanner.

You can reset the light but the code will only come back on again in a couple of days if the problem is still present.
