I have resently taken my car to the shop to have it checked out. When they where done they told me I need a new vvt solenoid, sprocket, and chain I am looking to do it my self because the price for labor is just to expensive. So my question is where is the vvt solenoid located and the chain and sprocket? How hard is it to change it and what should I watch out for? The last question I have can this cause my turbo to go out?

Hi Mlevcheko,

You need to remove the valve cover to locate the VVT solenoid.

What sprocket and chain are they refering to? This is supposed to be a belt driven engine.
