How do I replace the clutch cable in my 1970 VW Bus?

Are you replacing just the cable or the cable with housing. If just the cable itself then you have to disconnect the cable from the clutch pedal under the van. Then pull the old cable out. If the cable is broken then you have to remove the other end from the cluch shift fork on the clutch and pull that out. Feed the new cable in the housing from the front. Make sure the cable has some lube on it and feed it into the old housing. Once the cable is in the reattach to the pedal assembly and the clutch fork. When adjusting make sure the cable has enough slack to for the clutch to completly release.
