Fuel pump

I noticed my car smelled a lot like gas and that my tank would empty a whole lot faster. Yesterday I noticed my car was literally pouring out gas from underneath. I had my friend check it out and he said that the top plastic piece of the fuel pump had a crack and was spilling all of my gas. Is it possible to just replace the top of the pump (it looks like it's 2 seporate pieces), or would I have to replace the whole pump?

Extra caution must be taken when dealing with gas and fuel leak.

If its leaking from the fuel pump it self you have to replace it as a unit

But check to make sure its not a fuel line
Good luck
