1998 Volkswagen Jetta Transmission

Transmission has been rebuilt by a local transmission shop but they say electrical power is lacking they have took to several electrical repair shops and they can't find the problems shifts hard from 1 to 2 gear and won't enter overdrive on the highway do you have any suggestions that I can provide them

Hi there,

I will need more information on their diagnosis, lacking power is a bit vague for an understanding as to the exact problem.

Only thing they tell me is what stated not enough electical power shifts hard between 1st & 2nd won't go into overdrive on the highway Will Donate Big if someone solves my problem

The will have to do continuity and resistance checked on all the solenoid wires, check that there are no loose or corroded pins in the loom connector, this is where they should start looking.
