I bougha car in Jacksonville, FL. Drove it back to Maryland in two days. No problems. Then I sprayed "Gunk" on some of the engine to clean it up, hosed it off and drove it to make sure that all the water had been burnt off. As I was down shifting, coming off of a freeway it dies. I tried to push start it to no avail. It also was low on fuel and I added a bottle of fuel cleaner 1st and then filled up the gas tank, trying to get the hesitation and jerking while I was pressing the accelarator. I'm letting it sit over night on the side of the road about 2 miles from my house and will try to star it tomorrow. It turns over but it seem like there is no "firing".

Get some electronics cleaner (comes in a spray can available at all autoparts stores) and remove electrical connections that you hosed off one at a time.

Spray male and female electrical pins with electronics cleaner and then it would be best to use compressed air to blow dry.

Water, even in small amounts can cause shorts to electrical connections.
