1995 Volkswagen Golf 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 143000km miles

Hi carpros, my golf mk3, 1.8 gts, carburatored has a problem. When I start it, it swings n starts but doesnt hold da rev, it cuts off, then I start again and I hold accelartor down for about 5 minutes and release it, it idles ok. But once I start driving the car jerks while in motion even travelling at 100km it has da jerking. Please help me out, thanks

Lack of acceleration, chugging, hesitating, bogging etc. Could be caused by one of the following below.

Inspect and test all the following listed below and get back with some results

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard.
