Check the plugs wires and coil.

How long has it been since it has been tuned up?

No it's completely standard and it's only started since yesterday other than than the car is fine no smoke no knocks or anything, Also the temp is fine so nothing sinister apart from this to be honest and the mpg has gone down a tiny bit that's it cheers.

Ok, I would start with basics. Have the plugs, etc checked and have the car serviced.

Ok brilliant will get that done asap just panicking it could be bad news but I've always serviced her and never been shy on spending money on the best and original vw parts I can so fingers crossed she will be ok thanks again.

Aside from the usual / basics. Could be a bad diverter valve

It's all guesses unless one is working on it.

Yes, it will set a boost code or MAF code.

If the light is on, start with a scan. So you don't waste $ on
plugs etc.
