Squeaking

Brakes problem
2005 Vauxhall Meriva 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 30,000 miles

The offside rear brake squeaks when driving but if the pedal is lightly pressed, not actually braking, the noise stops. Any suggestions, please.

when you touch ther brake pedal no matter how lightly it pushes fluid down the lines and against brake pads ... if you are sure it is the rear it could be a wheel bearing .. but i would check the pads first ..
