I drive my truck for 2 weeks, then the next day when I try to start it it won't start. Then after 3 days preforming this task I put in starting fluid and carburetor cleaner and turn it over a couple times. Then all of a sudden it'll start and runs for about two weeks the it starts all over again. This starts over and over again I can't figure out what it is. Since I bought it from a private owner. Changed distributor, spark plugs air cleaner fuel relay switch. Put Heet in gas. I'm 60 years old and the only mechanic I can afford is me. My mechanic experience is from 25 years ago.

Okay, so we need to start with the basics which is fuel, spark, and compression to start an engine.

Here is a guide that talks about this:

However, since you used starter fluid before and it started, means we should start with fuel. Let's check the fuel pressure when this is not starting and go from there.

I suspect the pump is beginning to fail and it starts and works for a little while and then stops. Let me know what the pressure is and we can go from there. Thanks
