I am hoping you guys can help me. I have put in a new starter, new battery, new ignition switch (not the lock, the key turns) a power cable to the starter, new port covers for secure connection from battery.

I am getting no sound. Besides everything turning on in the vehicle. According to my multi-meter the alternator and battery are good.

I am lost, and ticked for obviously replacing good parts. Hope to hear from you.

Check the fusible link in picture. These go out all the time and truck will not start. It runs off of battery. Auto parts have them and make sure to use same gauge wire as listed. It goes to a red wire leading to convenience center under dash left hand side of steering column.

So the engine has spark and almost starts. I can hear it trying to start but it just doesn't. So I don't think it's the fuse. What does the fuse control?

This fusible link is basically just a fuse that will fail before one of the components on the distribution system. This is not going to cause your engine to crank and not start.

If your engine almost starts, then I would think this is either the fuel or spark system.

Here is a guide that would help with this:

I would start with checking the fuel pressure and go from there as this sounds like a fuel issue.

Let's run through this and go from there. Thanks
