I was driving down the road car was running fine, then suddenly shut off. Since then I have been unable to restart the car the engine turns over but does not fire up.

First things to check: Spark, fuel, and air. Then make sure the timing belt(s) has not slipped.

Make sure the air filter is not clogged.
