Vehicle listed above is an Lw2 3.0 V-6.
Has code P1811 with a reduced power light as soon as I start the car. I clear the codes and it drives and shifts great. As soon as I shut it off and restart the codes are instantly back and car is shuddering. I am hesitant to replace the pressure solenoid per code P1811. My reasoning is; shouldn't it take at least a moment or two for the ECM to detect this code after clearing it, and not instantly turn on?

Your reasoning is good but more than likely what is happening is the code is pending during the drive cycle and then when you shut the key off and then restart it, the code goes active because the issue is still there.

I am going to attach the info below but basically what this code is telling us is the shift time was too long.

So, this means we need to start with checking the fluid and see what condition it is in. If it is dark or smells bad, then we need to change it:

If it is not, then this could be a solenoid issue so it would be ok to try and change it.

Please see the attached info and let me know what you find.

Thanks
