Oil was put in the transmission by accident, is it okay to drive it?

Might depend on how much was put in but I doubt it. Automatic transmissions are very picky about fluids, which is why there are so many different fluids for them. You will probably need to tow it to a transmission shop and have it serviced. Do not drive it, or even start it.

If you put in a quart or less drive it and get transmission fluid changed it will not hurt it that much.
