When driving it is like something got caught and the car locks up

My clutch is good goes in all gears without problems, but when driving it is like something caught and the car locks up almost sending you through the windshield. It will come loose you can go a little bit farther than it repeats. Any idea on what this may be? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

That could describe a parking brake that is not fully releasing due to a sticking cable. Have a mechanic test-drive the car. A good choice for this type of problem is to visit the people at a tire and alignment shop. They are experts at finding the causes of things like this.
