I had a chip installed yesterday for purposes of increased power and torque as advertised by the company selling it.
Chip used was a Chippower KCR 16.
I didn't do the installation myself; I had a technician do the installation.
As soon as the tuning chip was installed, all the above-mentioned lights are now showing on my dash.
I have tried disconnecting the battery but they still reappear as soon as I reconnect the battery and restart.
Worried if the install might have damaged something.
P.S I haven't driven it for more than 10 kms since the install in fear of any further damage.

Hello,

There could be any number of reasons why the warnings lights got triggered. Without knowing what type of modification that chip does to the factory setting, it could be difficult to know exactly what happened.
Is there a way to un-install the chip?
That might be the best option.

If not, the best course of action would be now to scan and retrieve the trouble code for the engine light. It can help with the diagnostic process. Then it will be necessary to retrieve any trouble codes for the traction and drive system.

Let me know what code(s) you find or if you have any questions.
Thank you.

Hi,

I thought it best to uninstall the chip and disconnect the negative terminals so as to refresh the settings.
After restarting the vehicle this morning, those signs have now stopped showing.
My guess is that the chip had something to do with the signs flashing. I have sent the chip back for further diagnosis.
I will return once I have solid information from the technicians.
Thanks

It's good that the error lights got reset.
This has to be the programming of the chip that triggered those codes.

Let me know what you find.
