Hi Mary,

Well, replacing the Clutch is a pretty big job. First off is it rear wheel drive or front wheel drive.

Rear wheel will be a bit simpler than front wheel.

Before beginning disconnect the Battery. You will also need to elevate vehicle so tranny can be lowered and moved from under vehicle. It will need to be safely elevated using Jack Stand and must be safe enough to crawl under and do alot of pulling and pushing without the possiblility of it falling.

Front wheel drive you will have to remove the CV Axles, the Starter, all electrical connections and Clutch Cable or Slave Cylinder whichever it may have. Then the Shift Cable. You will then need to support the engine and transmission. Then remove Transmission Housing Bolts and the transmission mounts. You will be advised to rent a Transmission Jack for somewhat easy removal and install of tranny.

Hi,
I want to change my clutch on my tercel but I dont know what parts I need to do so. I was wondering if you are able to tell me what parts I need. Also I would like to covert my 93 tercel from a 4 speed manual to a 5 speed. Can you tell me what parts I need and what I need to do to covert it? Thanks for your time.

What you need is a clutch assembly-that is release bearing/clutch cover/clutch plate/pilot bushing-
