I would like to know how advisable and reliable it is to replace an engine in this model.

It's a very general question, I realize, but I've found a car I like and am willing to put a little money into it. I just don't know whether replacing a used engine with low miles has the same kind of assurances that comes from having an engine factory installed.

So long as you find a good, reputable shop to do the engine replacement then it can be a good choice to choose a cheap, used vehicle that needs work. Since these vehicles will sell much cheaper than a driveable car. Not only would you have the car cheaper than if it were already driveable, but you would also have a lot less miles on the motor than what the original already has.
