Air intake
Click and Clack said many cars no longer locate the air intake on top of the engine and they run a duct to the air filter, which is often located behind a headlight or near a wheel well. If water gets sucked up through the air intake, the engine can be ruined. Where is the air intake on a 2006 Toyota Corolla located? I have a 2006 Toyota Corolla with 8,450 miles.

Locate the air filter housing and you can follow the duct. Most new car have it in the wheel well cavity.

Before that can happen-you must be half submerge in water-other than that a little H20 the air filter will absorb it before it makes it thru the TB and again it might decarbonize something within the combustion chamber.
