1998 Toyota Corolla Big bubbles in radiator

Engine Cooling problem
1998 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 121000 miles

I suspect a blown head gasket, as when I rev the engine with radiator cap off, water surges and bubbles out. Do I need to test further, or is it safe to start removing the head?
Assuming this is the case, do I need to get head tested?

Hi there,

This is fairly systematic with a head problem, just to make sure you can get a test done that will detect Co2 in the cooling system, a sure sign that the gasket is leaking, you should always have the head tested for cracked & warping when removed.
