I have a problem starting the engine first time of the day. It takes 3 or 4 times to start, it seems like gas not coming thrue. I change gas filter, gas pump, ignition cable, rotor. Gas line have been change 4 years ago. Starting is ok for the rest of the day, it seems like the gas pump discharged after 5 or 6 hours. Excuse my english but I am frenchman from Quebec Canada. Hope you got a hint for me ! Thanks !

The pressure regulator (FPR) uses vacuum to increase fuel pressure as engine speed increases.

If ther is gasoline in the FPR vacuum line then the FPR diaphram is ruptured and would need to be replaced.

Next step would be to measure fuel pressure with mechanical gauge.

On this Toyota it requires a special tool set since there is not an inspection port built into fuel rail.
