Transmission problem
1989 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 105k miles

I have the standard 3-speed automatic transmission, however I would like a manual transmission. Where do I get one and approx. How much would it cost?

You would have to find a donor car at a junk yard with a manual and remove the trans, flywheel, clutch, clutch pedal, slave and clutch MC etc.

This is assumming the auto car has the brackets already in the auto car. Some manufacturers have brackets and holes already installed in the car for a manual trans. They are not used in the auto car. I am not sure if Toyota is one of them.

The wiring harness would also be different as well as the mounts.

It would be a big job, and if you have someone else do it, I would not venture a guess but it would be in the thousands of dollars.
