egr system

my car is a toyota camry 1994 155000 miles. the check engine light was on. the mechanic said it was the camshaft position sensor and the egr valve.he fixed it and the light is on again checked in the computer and said that it was the egr sensor. i am confused and i dont know what to do.

Did he replaced the EGR or he just "clean it" ?

and it probally wasnt the egr valve itself, probally the switch-over valve to it, its where the vaccume comes from
