2002 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 103K miles

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry, I've had the compressor replaced and the AV green light is still flashing. Do you have any idea what is wrong and how I can get this fixed??

There is an RPM sensor mounted on the compressor that is monitored by a module in the dash. The problem can be mechanical or electronic with the sensor or the module.

You will need to get the system pressures tested first, i would say that the refrigerant is low and the low pressure cut out has been activated, this will need to be checked by an A/c specialist.

My air condition light need blinking and no cold air. How can i fix the problem?

The blinking light is a fault code, you will have to get a scan done to identify the exact set code do this first.

When I push the AC button in my 2002 Camry it comes on for few seconds and then starts blinking. Air keeps flowing but its not cold. I was able to hold down the AC button for a few seconds and get it to come back on yesterday, but that doesn't work today. Can it be just low freon or is it some sort of relay/sensor? What should I do??

with a/c on run above idle and go under hood and see if large pipe from evaporator is cool or frosty if it is it'snot low on Freon. see if compressor is engaging. check fuses under hood and in car if it is automatic temp control where you set the temp it could be anything like a sensor/actuator etc. So you will need to take to a garage to get it scanned as auto parts can't scan that.

There is a fault in the heater / cooling system, get a diagnostic scan done and post the codes here for further assistance.

This system is very primitive and doesn't set codes. The flashing indicates that the RPM sensor in the compressor is sending unacceptable signals. It could mean the sensor is bad but usually means the compressor is seizing up or the clutch is slipping. A new compressor and condenser are the usual required repairs.

The first thing to do is get a pressure reading done on the A/C system and look for a leak as this is the most common cause for your problem.

Could be lost of refrigerant. compressor is not engaging and air blend door is stuck in the heat position.

Here is what happened - while driving a long distance (5 hours) on a hot and humid day a few months ago, vapor started streaming out of my two middle vents. The a/c light started to flash, so I turned off the unit, and drove with the windows down. It happened again after a longer than around the town typical driving last month.
Using the "auto" selection of my heating/air conditioning system, the a/c is on all of the time. 3.5 hours into my drive last night I heard a whoosing noise from the front passenger side of the car, and the a/c light began to flash. I have my thoughts about what could have happened, but my expertise isn't auto repair, as I've learned!

I would appreciate any insight you have - I'll be calling the mechanic soon, but would love to know what could have happened.....and of course what I'm looking at for repair!

My first thought is the high pressure cutout switch failed and over pressureized the system and blew something. But, usually this will just lock up the compressor and slip the belt. This may be a dumb question but, does the A/C work now? As far as repair costs, it depends on what's wrong.
