I purchased my 1998 Camry new back in 97, at my last oil change the Toyota mechanics condemned my engine claiming I had the "oil sludge problem". A friend of mine said he could probably fix my engine by having the heads redone, that most likely the lower portion of my engine was still in good shape. So that is what I did, my car runs great again for 1/4 of what Toyota was going to charge me for a new "used" engine, but now that the work has been done my check engine light and trac off light are on. How do I get these lights to turn off, my friend says they will just turn off on there own. Is that true or is there something I need to do?

Thanks You. Dawn

Those lights will probably have to be reset by a Repair Shop. They don't usually turn off by themselves.
