1985 Toyota Camry Loss of Power

My car runs and drives wonderfully for about the first 20 miles that I drive it. Then it starts to loose power and will only go about 35 mph. A few more miles and the speed reduces to 20 mph. It just keeps getting slower and slower until it will no longer go. The spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotar have been replaced. Problem still exists. Air compression, gas pressure and catalytic converter have all been checked. No one seems to know what is wrong. Please help. Thanks.

Hi there,

I would be checking for a problem in the fuel system, blocked fuel filter, faulty tank breather (vacuum lock in tank) faulty fuel pump (low volume low pressure) check this first.
