Car lock

Hi folks,
Mine is Avalon XLS.
My remote car lock is not working.
I opened it and cleaned then it started working
for some time again it back to its business.
Could anybody suggest me what actually happening there.
sometimes it become so boring by opening manualy
the car doors.

Hello !!
did you replace the batteries?

those are lithium but eventually get weak..

what year is your car?
let us know and I can tell you the way you can program your remote once you replace the batteries in case that loss the program..

Avalon XLS 95 model.

It is really useful if you te me the way to program that.

Hello!
Here you have the instructions:

Programming for 96 Avalon remote

1. Remove key from ignition
2. Locate bulb failure warning module in the trunk (near left trunk
hinge) and disconnect electrical connector.
3. Jump pins 11 & 12 of connector with short wire or paper clip
4. Door locks will cycle
5. Press any button on remote keyless entry entry transmitter
6. Door locks will cycle
7. Repeat steps 5 & 6 for another transmitter
8. Remove jumper from connector and reconnect to module

NOTE: A max of 2 transmitters can be programmed to a car
