THE ENGINE LIGHT GOES ON AN OFF.

TOYOTA SENT ME A LETTER SAYING THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR.

DO YOU RECALL WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS?

The only recall out for your vehicle is a recall on the alarm wiring harness terminals. This would not cause the engine light to illuminate. You need to have the engine codes pulled by a diagnostic scanner. Most part stores will do this for free.
