2002 Toyota 4Runner engine

The vehickle will start like normal and idle but when you press the accelrator the engine does not rev up.

Hi there,

Make sure that the throttle is still connected to to accelerator pedal, and if so have the TPI sensor checked, start here.

Throttle is connected. After vehicle set for an hour or so the engine started and ran fine. Dont understand.

I would run a scan and see if there were any fault codes set.
