How do I locate and replace the starter in my 1994 Toyota 4Runner V6 4wd auto?

First, remove the (-) Negative, black battery cable, then follow your red Positive cable, it will lead you right to it, next remove the wire(s) from it, noting where they go for the installation of the new one, then remove the bolts, it's heavy so be careful. Install is the reverse!

Starter is on the passenger side and you have taken on quite a frustrating project. Dont remember exactly what, but you will have to remove some other parts to get it out of the truck
