Engine Performance problem
1990 Toyota 4Runner 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I am attempting to put the vacuum lines back in the correct order but have a question as to the routing of the vacuum lines coming off the vacuum valve on the bottom of the power steering pump. There is also a vacuum valve on the right wheel house that has an adjustment screw and two large vacuum lines that I am unsure of where to plumb them. I have found routing diagrams for the other lines for the EGR, throttle body, air suction and fuel presure regulator but can find nothing on the other components I have outlined. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi lazyds,

Thank you for the donation.

The vacumn solenoid with adjuster is for the A/C Fast Idle Up Device.

Both items, power steering pump and FICD vacumn hoses are connected to the intake manifold on one end and the other end is plugged into the air intake hose.

Both works under the same principle, to allow more air to enter the intake manifold to increase the idling speed.

For both items, ensure the hose that is to be plugged into the intake manifold vacumn does not leak vacumn when solenoid is off or power steering is not turned.
