I replaced and put everything back together and have crank no start issue! I have shot the parts cannon at it and its almost all new parts. I hooked test light in series and the dome light fuse was the magic fuse? Bulb was broken inside the dome light. I'm going insane and just want my car working again. I have put in a lot of hours and money on her and could use some direction. Thanks!

Hi,

If everything is together correctly as far as timing, chances are you lost either spark or fuel to the engine.

I need you to try something. See if it starts for a couple of seconds using starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know it's a fuel-related issue. If there is no change, chances are it is ignition spark issues.

If there is no change, here is a link that explains how to test for ignition spark.

Also, the 1.5L engine is an interference engine. I need to know if the timing belt that was replaced broke while the engine was running.

One suggestion. The best thing you can do to help me to eliminate issues is to record the engine cranking and upload it for me to hear. I can usually tell if there is a timing issue, compression issue, or if something different is happening if I can hear it.

Let me know.

Joe
