Are there any brands of A/C compressors that can be used on a Mercedes Benz?

Someone told me if I don't use an exact brand. The computer is going to show that after the repair is done. Is this right?

Hi,

If you purchase a direct replacement compressor, it should be fine. However, there are different compressors based on the system and production dates.

I attached a pic below which provides the OEM part numbers based on need. If you purchase one, just make sure it replaces the part number indicated.
