I have two questions.
1. I’m looking to replace my TCM on my car listed above, I was wondering if you have to reprogram the new (not new, it’s used from same model of car but different car than my own) TCM going in my car if it is coming from the same model but just a different car.
2. I was also wondering where I can locate the TCM and can I get thorough instructions of where to locate the TCM?

There are two automatics available in that car. One is a 6-speed conventional, and the other is a CVT. The TCM on the 6 speed is easy to find, it is on the top of the transmission where the shift lever attaches. The TCM on the CVT is inside the transmission as part of the hydraulic valve body. In both cases you need a factory level scan tool and access to the OE site because both TCMs need to be programmed to match the vehicle in question. Then once that programming is done you need to also do a learn process using the scan tool and a lift to train the CVT and the 6 speed so they shift correctly. After that they will both learn as they are driven as well.
Might I ask why you wish to replace the TCM? They are not a common failure item on that 6 speed and the CVT usually fails mechanically long before the TCM has any issues.

I am looking to replace it because a mechanic told me that I need a new Transmission control module for my car. My car already has trouble shifting sometimes.

Also, what if I am putting in a used TCM from a working model of the same model as mine? I've heard that I don't need reprogramming. I just need to reset the ECM//PCM.

Which transmission is it? The 6 speed or the CVT? If it's the CVT and it isn't shifting smoothly it likely isn't the module, those CVTs are a known failure item with internal parts that fail, and the only recourse is to replace them.

If it's the 6 speed I would try a reflash of the current unit first. As for replacement, they need to be flashed to match the vehicle and it's ECU, not the other way around. That is because the used module will be set up for the transmission in the other vehicle, the TCM will need to be tested for neutral position and then the relearn carried out because it is considered to be new to that vehicle.

NOTE Clear all DTCs first.

NOTE When installing a new transmission, transmission control module or reflashing the TCM, the initialized learned values will need to be carried out.

NOTE This procedure cannot be carried out if the transmission fluid is not within the correct temperature specification.

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Install the diagnostic tool.
3. Monitor and note the engagement and shift harshness on the diagnostic tool.
4. With the engine idling, monitor the transmission fluid temperature. The fluid temperature should be between 151°F - 230°F.
5. With your foot on the brake, move the shift lever to NEUTRAL and hold for 3 seconds. Then move the shift lever to DRIVE and hold for 3 seconds. Carry this out 5 times. Then move the shift lever to PARK.
6. With your foot on the brake, move the shift lever to NEUTRAL and hold for 3 seconds. Then move the shift lever to REVERSE and hold for 3 seconds. Carry this out 5 times. Then move the shift lever to PARK.
7. Drive the vehicle and monitor the diagnostic tool.
8. Drive the vehicle with the throttle opening between 25 - 30%. Drive until the vehicle reaches 6th gear, not to exceed 50 mph. Then release the accelerator and coast to a stop within 60 seconds. Carry this out 10 times.
9. The engagement and shift harshness have decreased.
