Tailgate not working properly

Rear tailgate raises two feet and reverses. Checked for obstruction. Also will not release for manual operation.

It sounds like the life gate module is having issues. Here is the location of the module so you can replace it. This is common with these cars.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
