Hi, after having a clunking noise in my front left, I changed my sway bar end links and my strut and coil. The problem went away until I went on a rocky road and a lower rattle/clunk started happening. Today the noise went away and I found that one of the nuts on the sway bar end link that connects it to the sway bar had fallen off. I got it as tight as I possibly could, do you have a recommendation to possibly get this tighter? Or would I be able to use a washer? I had to cut the original nut off and I think it may have messed up the contact point between the bar and the link.

Hi,

First, I attached the directions below for installing the link. The directions include the torque specifications.

Now, when you tighten the nut, keep in mind the ball joint can turn with the nut which means you can't tighten it unless you prevent the ball joint from turning. To do that, you need to hold the stud the nut goes on to with a 6mm hexagon wrench.

Take a look at the directions and let me know if they help. Also, you can also purchase Loctite at a parts store and apply it to the threads. That will help prevent of from coming loose. (See pic 3)

Take care and let me know how things turn out for you.

Joe
