I have a suzuki 1.6 16v 1994. Starts fine, ticks over fine and drives ok when cold but after 2-3 miniutes if you try to hold a steady speed up to about 3000rpm it seems to splutter as if it was on three cylinders. If I drive hard it seems ok. Plugs are new. Leads look new

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge and inspect the cap and rotor, make sure the plug wires are not loose on both ends.

Also check the throttle position sensor and engine load sensor-like MAF airflow meter.

Tried a secondhand one from the breakers but stuttering remaind. Drove ham unpluged and it ran fine apart from the tickover has moved to 1500rpm. Now I dont know if its two faulty sensors or unpluging it just maskes the problem. Anybody any ideas thanks

If you're not satisfied is to its condition bench test it-normally if disconnected and problem disappears its the MAF or also might want to check the TPS close and wot voltages.
