Huge white smoke is coming out while starting the engine. After some time it reduces and slowly smoke stops. Sometimes there is cylinder miss also. The authorised mechanic says engine has to be opened as mobile is passing through the piston as the vehicle was idling for long time. But vehicle was not idle for even a single day, it was driven everyday though for short distance. This problem started after last servicing when carburator was also cleaned. While running the vehicle everyday, small amount of water is coming out everyday.

Hi dan14,

If the smoke is completely white, it should be water vapor due to condensation in the exhaust system or a problem with the head gasket.

If you do not have problems with overheating or coolant losses and the weather is cold, there is nothing to worry about. A little water emission from the exhaust is normal as condensation in the exhaust would be purged out when the engine is started.

If the smoke is slightly blue, then it should a problem with the valve seals as your vehicle though ony has 35k miles on it but the age is about 10 years old and most valve seals won't last that long without deteriorating.
