2001 Subaru Forester Head gasket repair
What price range should I expect to replace one or both head gaskets to fix a leaking head gasket? Also should I consider having the timing belt replaced at the same time with 94,000 miles on the car. And how much extra should the timing belt replacement cost.

Each head gasket is gong to run you about $20 while labor will be anywhere from $2000-$3000. You should change your timing belt around every 120,000 miles. Since the engine must be dismantle anyway to reach the HG's, it would be a good idea to get your timing belt changed in the process. This way you won't be paying them again for labor in a year or two for something they had to take off while changing the HG's anyway. The timing belt should only run you about $70.
