1998 Subaru Forester check engine misfire codes


1998 forester. fixed gas lines cleared check engine light. When drivning the light came on with four misfire codes. did complete tune up cleared light. Came back on this time with misfire in 2 and 4. Idles fine runs ok after full acceleration. When stopping or accelerating the car spit sputters and stalls. What is it?

Misfires can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel
