Hey guys, I just bought a brand new distributor, alternator and starter. I was having problems with my truck starting I put everything in and there is a bad grinding noise when I got it to turn it over. What could it be?

If there were old shims on old starter make sure to put them in. If not go to auto parts and put a shim in starter, there may have been instructions on starter when you bought it on how to take noises away. Or there may be shims in box if you still have it.
