I just replaced both half shafts on 2002 Suzuki xl7. Now it creaks when turning, vibration at 35-40, brakes are really squeaky. None of these problems before the change, just torn boots on both sides and clicking when turning. I had a repair shop do it and they hammered in the passenger side half shaft to seat the inner joint. Also took steering knuckle completely off, broke small wire that attaches to knuckle, removed ball joint and tie rod? And disconnected caliper. Did they mess up more stuff by taking all this apart?

I would be taking it back and getting the installation checked for both sides, sounds like a very rough installation this is not a hard job and the shafts do not need to be belted into place, sounds as if the end nuts for the shafts may be loose these must be very tight to seat the outer shaft hub into the back of the bearing.
