When I bought the truck used, the previous owner had told me that the four wheel drive locked up on him and he had it removed. The drivers side axle is gone, but the passenger side is still there. I have replaced the hub bearing assembly on the front passenger side in hopes that would take care of the issue, but it is still there.

The front wheel bearing is held together by the outer CV joint. If the half shaft is missing, you need to at least install the outer CV joint housing and torque the axle nut to specs to hold the bearing together.

A pulling problem is usually caused by an alignment issue or a worn part that is preventing that wheel from being held in proper alignment. In some cases a sticking brake can cause a pull to one side, but that is much less common. The place to start is with a steering and suspension systems inspection at a tire and alignment shop. The people there are experts at finding the causes of noises, pulls, and tire wear problems.
