I have the vehicle listed above. It runs fine until I come to a stop or if it is parked and idling; it starts to spit and sputter like it's going to stall. What do I do?

Hi:

Is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running? I ask because many things can cause this type of issue. A dirty air filter, engine vacuum leak, low or high fuel pressure, and other things.

Here are links that explain how to test for a vacuum leak and fuel pressure. However, if the check engine light stays on, have the computer scanned. Most parts stores will do it for free.

Again, if the light stays on, have it scanned and let me know what codes are pulled.

Take care,

Thank you. I will most definitely take your advice. When I first start the vehicle the check engine light does come on but it does not stay on. I started my truck today and it wasn't sputtering. It was raining yesterday which might indicate that it could be a vacuum leak, but I'm not sure I will look at the links that you provided, again thank you.

Hi:

If it seems to be associated with damp conditions, then I suspect an electrical issue. However, lets start with what I suggested and go from there.

Let me know the results.

Take care and try to have a good weekend.
