My speedometer is off by 20 miles

My speedometer is off by 20miles. I'll go 35 miles it reads 55. What do you think may be the promblem

Hello,

If you don't have a check engine light on I would say the problem is the stepper motor that runs the speedometer gauge. These motors go out all the time. You can remove the cluster and have it rebuilt or try replanting the stepper yourself you can get it on Amazon.
