The car smells like rotten eggs by the motor and through the vents when I turn the air conditioner or the heater on. When I start the car and put it in drive or reverse it does not go anywhere it putters and does not want to move it will not shift out of first gear.

It sounds like something may have made a nest in your exhaust. For the no power issue, have a shop scan it for soft and hard codes. There also might be something that crawled into the vent inlet opening at the back of the hood and died.

Ok. Well you've definitely got an overcharged battery that has given up the ghost. You'll need to find out why it overcharged. It's most likely an alternator/regulator problem.
